They have struck AGAIN! and as a platform that celebrates 90% of African creatives, this is our statement of solidarity.

It has been a rough couple of weeks. Let alone a dark start to the second quarter of 2020.

The black lives matter started seven years ago when George Zimmerman was acquitted for the murder of Trayvon Martin. The movement has since gained traction across the entire planet.

Social justice and especially racial justice is a foundational block in everything and recognizing human diversity as a central value and belief to what makes our society better. Right now, we need to stand together to protect and restore the diversity of black people today and the future generation.

Racial oppression and injustices are passed through every aspect of our lives and we are tired of grieving the violence against our very own- Black Lives! and other marginalized people around the world. Monochrome stands in solidarity today and FOREVER! with our people, our families, our friends who have and continues to be a victim of racial oppression. Like-minded individuals from other races who understand what it means to be Black today.

Monochrome commits to actions that help end systemic racism, persecution, and discrimination in our communities. We also commit to listening and educating our readers and especially ourselves on issues that affect our people. We promise to use our platform to push forward the #BlackLivesMatter movement for a more just, inclusive, and healthy society. It’s happening right here at home too, our backyard and amongst ourselves. Now more than ever, we need to spread your voices to educate others to join us at the forefront of these injustices to our people.

We are committed to growing and develop better understanding, through inclusion, inspiration, and celebration. Together we are stronger!
